Danica Pension to receive new leader in November

Mads Kaagaard, who has served as group CEO at PFA since 2016, will take over as leader of Danica Pension, an entity regulated by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, on Nov. 1.

Danica invests in a wide range of assets, including properties, equities, bonds and more.

Kaagaard will replace Søren Lockwood as CEO. Lockwood, who has served as managing director since February 2022, will continue in his role until Kaagaard takes office later this year, in order to ensure smooth transition.

“We see Mads Kaagaard’s experience from the banking sector as a great strength in terms of being able to combine the synergy in the collaboration between Danske Bank and Danica Pension to further benefit our customers,” said Berit Behring, chairman of the board in Danica Pension. “At the same time, he will be a great asset to our continued work to strengthen our culture and management.”

Lockwood will retire after a handover period.
