Corpus Sireo, the German real estate subsidiary of Swiss Life Asset Managers, has plans to launch its fourth special fund focused on investment in healthcare properties.
The fund is targeting a gross asset value of €400 million ($444 million). It will invest mainly in assisted living properties in Germany, with a focus on western Germany. The focus is on new construction as well as existing properties.
At present, the company holds three nursing care funds with a gross asset value of approximately €1 billion ($1.11 billion).
The firm’s first fund focused on healthcare properties, Sireo Real Estate Fund No. 5, was set up in 2006 and still held 46 properties with a gross asset value of approximately €450 million ($500 million) in 2013.
The Healthcare II fund currently holds 16 properties and is still in the purchasing phase. It has invested approximately €170 million ($189 million). The fund invests in German nursing c
