Connecticut Retirement approves commitment to Waterton Residential vehicle

Waterton Residential Property Venture XIV, a value-add multifamily fund managed by Waterton Residential Property, has added a new U.S. pension fund to its investor base.

Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds (CRPTF) has approved a $100 million commitment to the investment vehicle, according to a recent board meeting document.

The fund opened to investors in March and is seeking to raise $1.25 billion. It is structured as a Delaware onshore LP vehicle.

Other investors include the Employees Retirement System of Texas, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana, Orange County (Calif.) Employees Retirement System, the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System, the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System, and the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund.
