Connecticut Office of the Treasurer Erick Russell makes $250m real estate commitments

Connecticut Office of the Treasurer Erick Russell has made several commitments to real estate during meeting Jan. 10.

In the state’s real estate portfolio, Treasurer Russell announced his decision to commit $125 million to Penzance DC Real Estate Fund III, and $125 million to Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund IV, LP.

Penzance DC Real Estate Fund III, managed by Penzance, is a discretionary fund that will target value-add investments in residential and commercial properties and mixed-use development throughout the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region.

Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund IV, a closed-end fund managed by Homestead Capital, will invest in agricultural properties in the United States. Homestead Capital is an investor in operating farmland throughout the Pacific, Mountain West, Delta and Midwest regions of the United States.
