Austin–based Comunidad Partners, a 100 percent minority and women-owned real estate investment firm specializing in workforce and affordable housing communities in culturally diverse neighborhoods, has closed its inaugural discretionary commingled institutional fund, Comunidad Social Impact Multifamily Assets Fund I.
The oversubscribed fund raised $300 million of total equity commitments within just seven months, surpassing its original target size of $200 million. The investor base comprised a variety of prestigious institutional investors, including one of the largest domestic pension funds, university endowments, foundations and family offices.
The investment vehicle is dedicated to affordable and workforce housing in the United States. It also integrates ESG/social impact and proptech, with an emphasis on dynamic, underserved communities throughout the Sun Belt region.
