Commerz Real launches new European fund for student and micro-apartments

Commerz Real Capital-Management Company (Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft, KVG) has launched a European fund targeting student and micro-apartments. The new fund, Commerz Real Institutional Smart Living Europe Fund, which is structured as an open-ended special AIF (alternative investment fund), will be developed as a diversified portfolio of 10 to 15 residential complexes in university cities and towns throughout Europe with a total volume of approximately €500 million ($585.8 million). In this respect, some €250 million ($293 million) will be acquired from professional and semi-professional investors.
