Colony Capital’s CEO departs
Richard Saltzman, Colony Capital CEO, has resigned and will be succeeded by Thomas Barrack, who founded Colony in 1991 and stepped down as CEO in 2014.
Saltzman will remain as a non-executive chairman of both Colony Credit Real Estate Inc. and NorthStar Realty Europe.
Colony’s current CFO, Darren Tangen, will become president, effective immediately, and will resign as CFO as of Jan. 1, 2019. COO Mark Hedstrom will assume the additional role of CFO.
