Cohen & Steers has appointed Seth Laughlin as senior vice president and head of real estate strategy and research.
Laughlin will lead the team responsible for identifying and analyzing long-term and secular real estate investment ideas and heading an integrated listed and private real estate strategy function that helps investors optimize portfolios strategically and tactically.
Laughlin joins Cohen & Steers with more than 20 years of real estate experience. He most recently served as managing director and head of U.S. market research at Green Street, where he led a team responsible for research coverage of the top 50 U.S. real estate markets. Before that, he was head of U.S. institutional equities at Green Street. He also worked as an equity research analyst at ISI Group, covering residential and storage REITs, and as an institutional equities REIT sector specialist at Merrill Lynch.
