Belgian healthcare REIT Cofinimmo has acquired 15 nursing and care homes in Belgium in a share and asset swap that values the properties at almost €300 million ($340 million).
The assets are located in East Flanders, the Brussels region, Flemish and Walloon Brabant, Limburg, Liège, and Antwerp. In total, the properties have approximately 1,576 beds.
It is the largest transaction announcement by a listed healthcare real estate company on the Belgian market in years, reported local media outlets.
