CLSA raises $385m for third fund

Hong Kong–based CLSA Capital Partners has raised $385 million for its Fudo Capital III, according to a filing with the SEC. The closed-end pan-Asian real estate fund launched this year with a $1 billion fundraising goal. A final close date was not disclosed.

Funds in the Fudo Capital real estate investment fund series seek attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors, primarily by making direct investments into real estate assets in Asia, with particular focus on Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. Fudo Capital focuses on value-added and/or distressed investments in real estate assets across the Asia Pacific region. Investment size will range from $25 million to $75 million in equity with asset sizes under consideration ranging from $50 million to $200 million.
