CK Asset Holdings, the Hong Kong property developer controlled by billionaire Li Ka-shing, is planning to sell a unit that owns The Center, an office tower in the city’s business district, to C.H.M.T. Peaceful Development Asia Property for approximately $5.15 billion, according to news sources.

C.H.M.T. Peaceful Development Asia Property Limited is an investment vehicle registered in the British Virgin Islands.

The Center is a 73-story tower and office space totaling 1.4 million square feet.

The acquisition expands the footprint of Chinese investment in the Asian financial hub’s prime office district. It is the world’s biggest ever single-property sale, according to Reuters.
