CEO of PK SBB to resign after 10 years

by Kali Persall

Markus Hubscher, CEO at Pensionskasse SBB, the Swiss Federal Railways pension fund, said he will resign from his position after 10 years in the role.

The exact date of Hubscher’s resignation has not been announced, but he was quoted saying he announced the decision early in an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible.

The pension fund’s board of trustees already has begun the process of locating a successor.

Prior to joining PK SBB, Hubscher held positions at Barclays Global Investors and Credit Suisse.

As of Feb. 29, PK SBB had CHF 18.3 billion ($18.9 billion) in total assets with a 10.9 percent allocation to real estate, according to a fact sheet.
