CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) has appointed Markus Wagenknecht to head of asset management logistics Germany.
In this newly created role, Markus will be responsible for managing the German logistics asset management team, which manages 40 assets valued at nearly €2 billion (2.1 billion). The new role reflects the growth of the logistics portfolio and aligns with CBRE IM’s strategic shift toward a sector-specific operating model.
Wagenknecht becomes part of the EMEA logistics team that is managed by Laurie Lagarde, EMEA head of logistics operator division.
Wagenknecht has been with CBRE IM for seven years and has been responsible for the management, leasing and capital expenditure for the German logistics portfolio. In his most recent position as senior asset & development manager, he was responsible for development across all asset classes.
