CBRE Hotels appoints new EMEA head

by Released

CBRE Hotels has appointed Colin Low as head of Hotel Investment Properties for Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA) as it continues to strengthen its hotels transaction business.

Low will be responsible for leading the transactional business across the EMEA region, while working closely with CBRE ‘s 130 strong hotels team across EMEA to drive pan-European collaboration, and enhance the level of client service to further develop business opportunities across throughout the EMEA region.

Low joins CBRE Hotels from Frasers Hospitality Trust, where he was head of investment and led acquisitions of hotels and serviced residences globally.

Recently, CBRE Hotels sold the Athlone Springs Hotel, Monksland, Athlone. The hotel was offered for sale on the instructions of Aengus Burns, Grant Thornton, in conjunction with owners. The hotel was acquired by Pat McDonagh who is also the well-known owner of Supermac’s, Ireland’s largest fast food restaurant group that opened its first premises in the nearby town of Ballinasloe in 1978.

And for its Asian team, CBRE Asia Pacific appointed Junrong Teo to further support the firm’s evolving CBRE Hotels global platform. Based in Singapore as associate director of CBRE Hotels, Teo’s appointment is a strategic move to leverage his client relationships and serve as a key link in this platform, providing clients across both Asia Pacific and Europe with seamless connectivity.

Teo will take on a dual role — brokerage and advisory for all hotel dealings in Asia Pacific while serving as an integral component of the EMEA Asia Desk. Both of his roles will involve sourcing and managing Asian capital for hotel opportunities in the APAC and EMEA regions, while working with the global CBRE Hotels team on cross-border hotel assignments.
