CBRE Global Investors has acquired the Campo dei Fiori shopping center located in Gavirate, Italy (43 miles North of Milan), on behalf of SanZeno Fund. The seller is the Italian real estate company Iniziativa Gaviratese, part of Gruppo Nepos.
The shopping center comprises approximately 230,000 square feet. It was constructed in 2001.
The center consists of five levels and is connected to an adjacent seven-story car park with 1,400 parking places. In total, the center has 55 shops with the presence of a ‘We Fit’ gym (including an 82-foot swimming pool), a children’s play area and a game room, as well as a five-room cinema complex and a recently renovated food court.
Following an expansion of the center at the end of 2017, it now includes a 5,382-square-foot stand-alone building that is entirely leased to Fortesan, a popular pet shop brand in the northern part of Italy. Also, anchor tenant Carrefour recently expanded its services by adding a petrol station.
