Jenna Gerstenlauer, who served as CIO of the CBRE Global Investors Capital Partners debt fund, has departed the firm.
She left the firm in early August to form a competing enterprise, Greenwich, Conn.–based Sound Marks Partners, which pursues commercial real estate debt investments. Jenna Gerstenlauer is a managing partner.
Gerstenlauer joined CBRE Capital Partners in 2009. As CIO she managed transaction pursuits, credit and portfolio activities for the real estate finance arm of CBRE Global Investors.
Prior to joining CBRE Capital Partners, Gerstenlauer was a principal at True North Management Group, a privately held real estate investment management firm, with a focus on mezzanine finance, bridge finance and distressed debt markets.
