CBRE has appointed Ananth Ramchandran as head of advisory & strategic transactions, hotels & hospitality, Asia.
Based in Singapore, Ramchandran will lead CBRE’s hotel-advisory business that includes advising owners and operators on the growing branded residential segment. He will be responsible for driving the strategic hotel and hospitality transaction business that includes portfolio sales, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and capital-transactional services for both debt and equity.
Hotel investment in Asia Pacific increased 46 percent year-over-year in 2021, underpinned by REITs, private offices and private-equity capital that are acquiring hotels in anticipation of a resumption of tourist demand. The sector is expected to attract additional investment this year as investor confidence further strengthens.
