Carr Properties has teamed up with Manifold Development to build its first project, Block 16, a 43-story office tower, in downtown Austin next to the Austin Convention Center.
The development cost was not disclosed.
Block 16 will feature up to 738,000 square feet of office space with 10-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows and open-workspace layouts. Other amenities include food and beverage options, a fitness center, and meeting spaces. The project will offer easy access to the Central Business District, the Rainey Entertainment District and Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail.
Carr anticipates the Block 16 project will be completed in spring 2026. The tower represents Carr's second in the Austin market after the commercial group acquired the 22-story 100 Congress Ave. tower last summer.
