Having returned from IREI’s 14th Annual VIP Americas Conference in Dana Point, Calif., there are several takeaways that are worth reviewing.
First, it was our most successful conference to date, with more than 400 people in attendance with a wide variety of attendees from all points across the globe on both the LP and GP side. Along these lines, with the underpinnings of geopolitical risks currently at the fore including post-Brexit, pre-U.S. Presidential election, along with pandemics hitting the globe, apparently real estate still seems to be a safe haven for asset allocation. And according to data released at the conference through IREI’s propriety research arm and FundTracker product, money is still pouring into this asset class.
