British Land and Norges Bank Investment Management have plans to sell Meadowhall Shopping Center with a £750 million (€867 million/$930 million) price tag, according to European media outlets.
Meadowhall, on the outskirts of Sheffield, is Yorkshire’s premier shopping destination and one of the top five shopping centers in the United Kingdom.
It has 1.5 million square feet of high-quality retail and leisure space with around 280 occupiers, including Marks & Spencer, Apple, Zara, Newbie, Neal’s Yard, Lego, Hugo Boss, Godiva, Flannels and Tag Heuer. Other amenities include an 11-screen Vue cinema, a 1,200-seat dining quarter, Rock Up, Jump Inc and more than 50 restaurants such as Tapas Revolution, Wagamama, Nando’s, Zizzi’s and Five Guys. The center has 12,000 free car parking spaces, as well as its own public transport interchange for local and regional bus, train and Supertram services.
