French contractor Bouygues has won a €258 million ($283 million) deal to build an eco-neighborhood in Issy-les-Moulineaux, southwest of Paris.
Two of its subsidiaries, Bouygues Energies and Bouygues Services, will work on the 100,000-square-meter (1.1 million-square-foot) Issy Cœur de Ville, which aims to “reshape urban living.”
Alain Taravella, CEO and founder of Altarea Cogedim, said: “Our ambition was to develop a genuine urban project that meets the social challenges and reflects the current transitions that the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux and its residents are experiencing. More than a new neighborhood, what we are creating here is a vibrant and attractive living space, a place where urban and human life is lived.”
