Boston Capital fund holds $260m final close

Boston Capital Corp. has held a $260 million final close for the Boston Capital Corporate Tax Credit Fund XLIII. The tax-credit fund invests mainly in multifamily and student housing properties in the United States. The fund has a nationally diversified portfolio of 32 affordable apartment properties in 15 states, including 22 properties for families along with 10 properties for senior citizens.

The properties acquired by Fund XLIII add an additional 2,514 apartment units to Boston Capital's holdings. Since January 2016, Boston Capital has raised $655 million in equity commitments.

Boston Capital is preparing to launch a follow-on fund, Boston Capital Corporate Tax Credit Fund XLIV in second quarter 2017. The fund has a $150 million equity fundraising target.
