Blue Moon Capital Partners appoints new managing director

Blue Moon Capital Partners has announced that Kevin Donahue has joined the firm as managing director, investments.

Donahue will be responsible for working with Blue Moon’s senior living operating partners to optimize asset-level performance and all aspects of the day-to-day investment management business. In addition, Donahue is a member of Blue Moon’s investment committee.

Donahue joins Blue Moon after 11 years with Benchmark Senior Living. At Benchmark, Donahue provided financial and analytical support for the day-to-day operations of the business, oversaw the preparation of annual property-level budgets, and was involved in underwriting all new developments and acquisitions.

Blue Moon, headquartered in Boston and co-founded by Kathryn Sweeney and Susan Barlow, is focused exclusively on the senior housing sector. Blue Moon’s team has nearly 50 years of experience in senior housing finance and operations. The firm’s inaugural fund, Blue Moon Senior Housing I, invests in development and recapitalization of new, purpose-built, innovative senior housing communities in joint venture with leading senior housing developers and operators.
