After serving almost six years as BlackRock’s managing director and CIO for Asia Pacific, Greg Lapham is leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities, several media sources have reported.
The move will go into effect next month.
John Saunders head of BlackRock Asia Pacific Real Estate told Mingtiandi that Lapham’s resignation will not impact the strategic direction of the real estate investment platform.
Prior to BlackRock, Lapham served as CFO Asia at MGPA for four years, where he managed a portfolio of a pipeline for acquisitions and dispositions for various real estate funds, and oversaw fund level finance, asset level finance and financial reporting.
He also worked for almost four years as the head of leveraged and acquisition finance for the National Australia Bank, and another four years at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Before that, he provided financial advice in relation to M&A as a manager at Rothschild.
