Australia’s Federation Asset Management has formed a A$600 million ($453 million) joint venture with BlackRock Real Assets.
The joint venture will acquire Federation’s existing childcare assets and finance new acquisition and development of childcare centers.
There are about 8,500 childcare centers in Australia, with a total value of A$34 billion, Federation told the Australian Financial Review. The venture plans to take advantage of the opportunity within the sector.
