Barings Real Estate has appointed Maggie Taplett to lead European real estate client portfolio management.
Taplett, senior director in real estate client portfolio management at Barings, will relocate from New York City to London to lead the firm’s real estate client portfolio management efforts in Europe. She also will support Barings’ continued focus on scaling its global real estate platform and strengthening its client support across Europe.
Taplett will work closely with Tom Morgan, client portfolio management, European real estate, and Jess Cufley, client portfolio management, European real estate, to deliver a coordinated global coverage model and a consistent approach to client engagement across the firm’s flagship European real estate strategies.
Taplett brings more than 15 years of industry experience, joining Barings in 2024 from Apollo Global Management, where she focused on private real estate products across the United States and Asia. Before
