Barings has appointed Joe Gorin as head of portfolio management and value-add investing in its U.S. Real Estate Equity Group (USREE).
Gorin will be based in New York and report to John Ockerbloom, who joined Barings in 2019 as head of U.S. real estate equity.
In his new role, Gorin will be responsible for refining and implementing Barings’ portfolio vision across client platforms with a particular focus on value-add investing strategies. Gorin will also join Barings’ USREE investment committee.
Most recently, Gorin was a managing director at Goldman Sachs & Co and served as the co-head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s private equity real estate group (GSAM PRE).
