AvalonBay Communities has acquired LUMA at Miramar, Fla., a 380-unit, garden-style multifamily community in Miramar, Fla., about 22 miles north of Miami, for $133 million.
The seller was ANSCA, a Boynton Beach, Fla.-based developer.
LUMA at Miramar features three- and four-story buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 818 square feet to 1,355 square feet. Community amenities include a gated electric entrance, swimming pool, fitness center, yoga room, Zen Garden, billiard room with fireplace, café with complementary self-service Starbucks coffee and outdoor-grilling area.
The property is across the street from The Miramar Park of Commerce, which supports 10,000 full-time jobs, and is within 15 minutes of four other major business parks.
