Future Fund, Australia’s sovereign wealth fund, has grown to A$148.8 billion ($105.1 billion) as of Sept. 30, 2018, after reporting a 10.7 percent per annum return for fiscal year 2018, exceeding its 6 percent pa benchmark, according to a portfolio update report.
Future Fund also exceeded its benchmark return across all time periods. It reported a 10.7 percent return for fiscal year 2018; 8.1 percent return for three years; 10.2 for the five-year period; 10.7 for the seven-year period; and a 10-year return of 9.2 percent.
Across all five public asset funds, the Board of Guardians now invests A$180.7 billion ($127.7 billion). The asset allocation of the Future Fund is as follows:
Australian equities (6.5 percent); global equities developed markets (18 percent) and emerging markets (7.3 percent); private equity (14.8 percent); property (7 percent); infrastructure & timberland (8.2 percent); debt securities (8.8 percent); alternative assets (15 percent); and
