Australian Ethical Super, Christian Super finalize merger

The merger between Australian Ethical Super and Christian Super has been finalized, Australian Ethical Investment recently announced to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

The merger was completed Nov. 25 and added 28,000 new members to Australian Ethical Super, according to multiple news reports.

“We are delighted to welcome more than 28,000 new members who want to invest ethically and look forward to communicating the benefits of increased scale to all super fund members, which we’ll be passing on as fee reductions,” said John McMurdo, CEO of Australian Ethical.

In July, Australian Ethical completed the formal due diligence process for the merger with Christian Super, agreeing that Christian Super’s members would be transferred to Australian Ethical Super through a Successor Fund Transfer (SFT) in late 2022 or early 2023.
