Australian Retirement Trust has expanded its partnership with Scentre Group, entering into an agreement to acquire a 50 percent interest in the Westfield Mt Gravatt in Brisbane, Australia, from the ASX-listed company.
Subject to Australian Competition and Consumer Commission clearance, the A$882.5 million ($627 million) agreement would be the largest single-asset retail transaction completed in Australia this calendar year. The deal follows ART’s record A$3 billion ($2 billion) in Australian property investments during the last financial year.
The investment in Westfield Mt Gravatt, which generated more than A$1 billion in total sales in 2025, follows ART’s A$864 million ($619.24 million) acquisition of a 19.9 percent interest in Westfield Sydney in February 2026.
