Arizona PSPRS seeks new CIO
The $9.63 billion Public Safety Personnel Retirement System of the State of Arizona is searching for a new chief investment officer after Ryan Parham stepped down as CIO on July 1. Parham joined PSPRS in 2004.
Deputy CIO and chief of staff Mark Steed has stepped into the role of CIO. Steed has managed PSPRS investments since 2007.
The search for a successor will be national in scope, said Jared Smout, the pension fund’s administrator. It will be handled internally by the PSPRS human resources and leadership teams. Final board of trustee interviews for a new CIO are likely to take place in fall 2018, with a new hire named by year’s end.
