Argosy Real Estate Partners V holds final close with $472m of capital

Argosy Real Estate Partners has held a final close for Argosy Real Estate Partners (AREP) V and its parallel funds, after raising $472 million in capital, surpassing its $400 million fundraising target.

The closed-end fund will invest opportunistically in multifamily, single-family build-to-rent, residential land investments, lodging, industrial, office and retail in the United States.

“The pipeline of compelling investments for our high conviction strategies remains robust,” said Andy Stewart, co-CEO and managing partner at Argosy Real Estate Partners. “We are also pursuing distressed opportunities that are emerging as a result of the current capital market dislocation.”

AREP V’s predecessor fund, AREP IV, closed in June 2018 after raising $286 million, also exceeding its initial target of $250 million.
