Amazon Australia plans to invest more than A$750 million ($537 million)  to develop a new robotics fulfillment center in Brisbane, Australia, expected to be completed in 2028. The four-level facility will span approximately 150,000 square meters (1.6 million square feet) and is projected to become one of the largest warehouses ever built in Queensland.

The project is expected to create more than 1,000 permanent jobs, with 2,000 additional jobs generated during construction and fit-out.

The facility will incorporate advanced robotics technology designed to assist workers with tasks such as moving inventory and sorting items for orders. Amazon said the technology is intended to support employee safety and efficiency while handling large volume
