Altera sells shopping center in the southern Netherlands

by Kali Persall

Altera Vastgoed NV has sold its Arendshof II shopping center in Oosterhout, a city in the southern Netherlands, for an undisclosed amount.

The property consists of 9,125 square meters (98,220 square feet) of retail space. The shopping center is being leased to H&M, Intertoys, Van Haren Schoenen, D-Reizen, Beter Horen, Hans Anders and various local entrepreneurs.

“In recent years we have worked with the municipality of Oosterhout and developer Maas-Jacobs on the vision to transform Arendsplein into an inner-city residential environment,” said Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera. “This sale to the municipality will enable it to take the next step in the implementation of its vision.”

Following the sale, 75 percent of Altera’s portfolio now consists of food and convenience real estate and is expected to grow further in 2021 through buying and selling and asset management activities.
