Henrik Gade Jepsen has been selected to lead the asset management activities at Swedish pension provider Alecta, effective Dec. 1.
Jepsen previously worked at Danske Bank A/S as head of asset management and also spent 17 years at Denmark's largest pension fund, ATP. He most recently served as a senior adviser at QBlue Balanced and has also worked at the IMF and Danmarks Nationalbank, among others.
“I am very happy that Henrik is starting as the new head of Alecta's asset management,” said Magnus Billing, CEO of Alecta. “His experience as a leader and deep knowledge in asset management will be very valuable for Alecta and for the execution of our mission.”
Alecta invests in carefully selected real assets, shares and interest-bearing securities in Europe and the United States. As of Sept. 30, Alecta had SEK 1.12 billion ($103.3 million) of capital under management, making it one of Europe's largest pension managers.
