Alceon invests in INSITE DC to expand Australian data center pipeline

Alceon has made a strategic investment in data center developer and operator INSITE DC, backing projects in Melbourne and Sydney focused on hyperscale, cloud and artificial intelligence- (AI)-related demand.

The investment will support INSITE DC’s development pipeline, including expansion of its land bank and delivery of campus-style data centers across Australia.

Alceon’s strategy includes both powered-land sales and the development and operation of data centers for major tenants. The firm plans to leverage the power and energy expertise of affiliate Formus Property to identify and secure powered land sites, which have become a key constraint in the Australian data center market.

Alceon’s strategy aims to generate earlier returns through land transactions while building longer-term value through data center operations.
