The $8.2 billion Alameda County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association (ACERA) has approved a $35 million investment in the Artemis Income & Growth Fund.
According to a Nov. 6 board meeting document, the fund is managed by Artemis Real Estate Partners, a majority women-owned firm. The fund will invest in four main property types: office, industrial, multifamily and retail, with a small portion in hospitality and/or self-storage.
ACERA disclosed that up to one-third of the portfolio will be in direct investments and two-thirds of the portfolio will be in investments with joint venture partners, with approximately 50 percent of that with diverse or emerging managers.
