AEW, a real estate investment and asset manager, announced the acquisition of a modern educational healthcare facility in Berlin from Pantera AG (part of Nexity SA), on behalf of an existing fund focusing on healthcare for French retail clients. The transaction represents the fund’s first acquisition in Germany.
Comprising approximately 4,700 square meters (50,590 square feet) of modern space, the property is centrally located on the campus of the renowned Berlin Accident Hospital (UKB). The asset is fully let on long-term, index-linked leases with a WALT of more than 10 years to occupiers closely connected to UKB and its healthcare and education ecosystem.
