Actis has wrapped up fundraising for its Actis Asia Real Estate 2 (AARE2) vehicle, raising $700 million of LP fund and co-investment commitments.
Actis said additional co-investment opportunities are also expected to deliver up to $1 billion of investable capital during the life of the fund. The fundraise included re-ups as well as new commitments from a mixture of high-quality, diversified global investors.
AARE2 will invest in real estate that enables the “New Economy,” focusing on the firm’s key regions of China, Korea, India and Southeast Asia, predominantly in Vietnam.
