ABP Pension Fund invests in Dutch housing project through CBRE IM

CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM), on behalf of ABP Pension Fund, has reached an agreement with Breevast on the purchase of 475 new rental homes to be built in Vonderpark Kwartier, an inner-city development in a prominent location in the center of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The acquisition strengthens the supply of affordable and sustainable rental housing in the fast-growing Brainport region.

The investment is in line with ABP’s long-term strategy to invest in sustainable and affordable rental housing in the mid-market segment. Vonderpark Kwartier is designed to meet the increasing demand for housing for a broad target group, including starters, young professionals, small households and couples.

Vonderpark Kwartier comprises three residential buildings with a total of 475 homes. The De Gagel building has 103 homes, consisting of 20 friends’ homes (purpose‑designed apartments for sharing with friends or like-minded renters) in the social rental segment alongs
