Aaron DiCenzo has been appointed CIO of the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) of Ohio, after serving as interim CIO since February 2025.
The search for a CIO lasted nearly 10 months and was conducted by recruitment consultant Heidrick & Struggles. DiCenzo previously served as head of alternative investments at Ohio TRS and transitioned to interim CIO after Matt Worley departed the fund in March. DiCenzo holds more than two decades of experience in private markets.
As of Dec. 31, 2024, the public pension fund had $97.9 billion in total assets under management.
