The $27.9 billion Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions (LAFPP) has unanimously approved a commitment of up to $80 million in RREEF Core Plus Industrial Fund, an open-end commingled fund managed by DWS.
The fund opened to investors in June 2017 to invest in industrial real estate assets around the world. The fund aims to build a diversified portfolio of highly competitive, strategic warehouse investments in top-performing high-barrier metros, according to DWS documents.
As of December, LAFPP had a 7.3 percent allocation to real estate and the portfolio was valued at more than $2 billion.
