by Kali Persall

The AgIS Farmland Club Fund, an open-end fund managed by AgIS Capital, has received $300 million in seed capital from two U.S. pension funds.

The Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico and the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association have each committed $150 million to the fund, which will make them founding partners.

AgIS Capital could not be reached to comment on the fundraising activity.

The firm invests in agricultural properties and related operating companies.
