The British property group Prejan Enterprises sold the Nova Eventis shopping center in Günthersdorf near Leipzig, Germany, to an international investor for €200 million ($214 million), according to local media outlets. The new owner of the center has not yet been announced.
The mall has 200 stores and totals more than 818,000 square feet. It is the largest shopping center in the region.
The deal requires the approval of the cartel authorities in Germany and at the EU level for the final closing.
Prejan Enterprises purchased the mall in 2006 for €390 million ($418 million).
German retail assets worth a total of around €9.3 billion ($10 billion) changed hands in 2016, according to Colliers International. The fourth quarter 2016 accounted for slightly more than one-third of the total transaction volume with a strong finish to the year.
