Mike Consol is senior editor of Real Assets Adviser, one of seven titles published by Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI), and is responsible for the magazine’s editorial content and production. He has been a professional journalist since 1983 and has spent almost his entire career working for business publications. Mike joined IREI in 2012 as editor of Institutional Real Estate Americas. Prior to IREI, he spent 17 years with American City Business Journals, the nation’s largest publisher of metropolitan business journals with 40 weekly newspapers across the United States. While at ACBJ, he held editor and publisher roles at the Portland Business Journal, East Bay Business Times and San Francisco Business Times. He was also the company’s first-ever writing and reporting coach. Prior to ACBJ, he was managing editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal, as well as news editor of the Pasadena Star-News. Mike, a native of upstate New York, earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University.

John D. Worth is the Executive Vice President for Research and Investor Outreach at Nareit, where he leads Nareit’s internal and external research efforts and directs Nareit’s investor outreach and education initiatives. Prior to joining Nareit, Worth founded the Office of the Chief Economist of the National Credit Union Administration, spent nearly a decade at the U.S. Treasury where he served as the Director of the Office of Microeconomic Analysis and served as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomics, and worked as a consultant for Welch Consulting and the RAND Corporation. He is a graduate of George Washington University and holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Southern California.

Lisa Kaufman is Head of Global Securities, responsible for overall group management and a Portfolio Manager of U.S. accounts and the Global Specialty Sector. In her role as the Securities division head, she is a member of the Global Management Committee of LaSalle Investment Management. Ms. Kaufman also serves on the Global Securities Advisory Committee and the Portfolio Management Oversight Committee of LaSalle Securities. Kaufman joined LaSalle in 1994 and the Securities group in 1998. Prior to joining the Securities group in 1998, Kaufman worked in LaSalle’s private equity group where she focused on entity level investments in real estate, recapitalizing existing portfolios, private real estate companies, and public REITs. Kauffman received an M.B.A in finance from Columbia University’s Business School and an A.B. in Urban Studies and Political Science from Brown University. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Governors and the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC) at Nareit.
