Australia-based Goodman Group and U.S.-based Digital Realty have launched a bid to acquire up to 9.9 percent of Australian data center operator NextDC for approximately A$715 million ($499.7 million), according to Reuters.
NextDC has indefinitely paused new development projects and land acquisitions and is evaluating capital recycling opportunities, including potential development-site sales.
Goodman and Digital Realty indicated they do not currently intend to pursue a full takeover or seek control of NextDC, although they reserved the right to reconsider their position if circumstances change.
