Suburban office finds its second act; imagine WeWork for the ’burbs

Sean Donohue, managing director of the coLab — the membership-based coworking model of Bell Works — is leading an effort to bring coworking and flex office space to city suburbs. A simple way to think about the idea is WeWork for the suburbs, offering shorter commutes and, in theory, more life/work balance for professionals. Though still in its early stages, the concept — as well as the ideas supporting it — are interesting and worthy of some elaboration. Donohue obliges. (10/2026)
