by Andrea Zander

Cheyne Capital has raised £3 billion ($3.97 billion) for its ninth European real estate lending strategy, according to various media outlets.

The final close of Cheyne Real Estate Credit Holdings IX – Capital Solutions includes capital raised across the commingled fund and adjacent vehicles. More than 50 percent of committed capital has already been deployed into loans, with the strategy holding 73 underlying loans, including 16 that have been realized.

The portfolio spans Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom and includes loans across hotels, offices, student accommodation, residential and mixed-use properties. The strategy was initially seeded in 2024 by a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund.
