Brookfield targets $20b in real estate deals

Brookfield Asset Management expects to complete roughly $20 billion of real estate transactions over a two-month period as recovery across parts of the commercial property sector accelerates, according to the Financial Post.

Connor Teskey, Brookfield’s recently appointed CEO, said the firm is seeing stronger transaction activity, improving valuations and materially better financing conditions across several sectors. He noted that hospitality, logistics and residential properties are leading the recovery, while office and retail sectors are beginning to regain momentum.
